WI - March 2016

Posted in General News

Several of our members have recently had to have operations including Betty Flower who had a very nasty fall earlier in February. She is currently in the NNUH where she will be for some time. May I take this opportunity on behalf of the group to wish everyone a speedy recovery?
At the time of writing we are looking forward to our February meeting when we will be having a talk from the Hawk and Owl Trust. The speaker will be accompanied by an owl to illustrate the talk.
Our next meeting is on 30th March at 2.00pm at the Memorial Institute, our talk is all about Dementia Awareness and the support that is available. If this subject is of interest to anyone in the village, (men included) please do come along, again you will be made very welcome.
Many people can feel bored, isolated and lonely at this time of year, so why not come and join us and get involved in our activities. We also often meet for outside visits at other times of the month. We are a group of friendly women who enjoy a laugh and have diverse interests, but share a common interest in being involved with the WI.
