Memories and Good Wishes for Mrs Coe/Cheall

Posted in General Village Interest

Mrs Coe/Cheall has spent nearly all her entire working life, 35 years, teaching the children at North Elmham School. We thought it would be lovely if we could gather memories of Mrs Coe as a teacher, colleague or friend. We know too that she would enjoy hearing your news.

A few lines about your school memories or a message for her on reaching her retirement would very much be appreciated and help to show her how much she was valued. An e-mail, letter or note would be great. We can then put your memories and messages together as a retirement keepsake for her.

E-mails can be sent to:

Notes can be delivered to Sue Graves, 58a Eastgate Street or Libby Chaney, 13 Cathedral Drive. Please remember to include your name and send them to us by Saturday 11th July.

On the evening of Friday 17th July from 7pm there will be an informal gathering at

Elmham King's Head to enable past pupils of Mrs Coe to drop by and see her before she retires from North Elmham School at the end of term.

As there will be a chance for the younger ex pupils to see her at the school (please see below) we are thinking that this get together should be for the over 18s, their parents and any former colleagues. If you have any photos or school work, please bring them along. We can all give our brains a workout trying to remember faces, names etc. Who knows, you may even meet up with a long lost friend from your primary school days.

Younger ex pupils wishing to say good bye, can call in at school between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on the last day of term – Tuesday 21st July.

Finally anyone wishing to contribute to a leaving present for Mrs Coe can do so by dropping off their donation at the school office. Please mark your envelope - Mrs Coe's Leaving Gift.
