Playgroup News - April 2016
The children are currently learning about Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) and concentrating on boundaries, behaviour and relationships.
Events
By the time this article is published we will have hosted our Easter Egg Hunt & Family Fun Day and we hope to report in the next edition of the News what a successful and fun day it was. Thank you for now to everyone who took the time out to donate raffle prizes and Easter eggs and to the volunteers on the day for serving teas and manning the stalls and craft tables.
Following on from the success of last year, Tracey and Katie are organising another Sponsored Walk - 5 miles around North Elmham which will finish with refreshments at playgroup. This will take place on Sunday 8th May. If you are interested in joining in or would like to sponsor the event, please contact Tracey on 01362 668091 for further details.
Thank Yous
We would like to thank Annmarie and Helen for their hard work in organising the Easter Egg Hunt - fabulous job!
A big thank you to Damon Harris for booking in our woodwork job so quickly and completing it over half term - it looks amazing and has made a huge difference to our outside space.
Thank you to all of the playgroup staff and the small team of volunteers that were willing to come in over half term to help deep clean the playgroup and complete some small maintenance jobs. As we do not have our own cleaner, we really do rely on the staff and any volunteers to help out and your commitment doesn't go unnoticed - we really do appreciate it! :-)
Stay & Play
We run a regular Stay & Play session on a Thursday afternoon, 1-3pm, during term time. This is open to children from 0-5yrs who are accompanied by a family member or carer (over the age of 18). Children have the opportunity to use our facilities and resources on a drop-in basis and are offered a small healthy snack and drink (tea/coffee is available for the accompanying adult). All we ask for is a small contribution per each session you attend (first session is free!). If you would like to join us, please do just pop along on the day, or give Shelly a call for further details on: 01362 668091.
Joining Regular Playgroup Sessions
If you have a child who is 2yrs or over and you would like to know more about what we could offer you at our playgroup, please do contact us for further information or to arrange a visit. We are currently very busy, with most sessions full or nearly full, so please call Lesley to find out availability on: 01362 668091 Ruth Collins
