Victory Villages Church December 2014

Posted in Parish Matters

As you read this it will be with a great sense of expectation as Christmas is only three weeks away. Admittedly for some there will also be a bit of trepidation when you think of all that's still to be done. Presents to be bought and wrapped, food to be bought and prepared and the house to be cleaned in readiness for the big day. For others there will be such a sense of excitement thinking of opening all those longed for presents. But for each of us there will be the acknowledgement that Christmas time is very special. A time of families and friends getting together - a time of love, joy and peace. But, more importantly it is the celebration of the birth of a very special Baby whose coming changed the world. After all our time was split at His birth - before Jesus and after Jesus. He came and showed us the right way to live and many countries' laws are based on His teachings. But above all He came to die for us on the cross so we could live our lives free from guilt, condemnation, unforgiveness, hopelessness and all the other negative emotions which beset us human beings. Instead when we allow Him into our hearts and lives we are able to live our lives as though it were Christmas every day. Now isn't that something worth celebrating!

May you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas,
Love Tony and Jane. 667107
