ANNUAL FETE at ELMHAM HOUSE. A while ago now, but thanks go to everyone who worked so hard and created another enjoyable occasion under difficult weather conditions. And of course thanks go to Tom and Jo Fitzalan Howard for their generous hospitality once again. In spite of the weather we had a good time and the funds we raised made it well worthwhile.

PRAYER FOCUS. Those living in or near: Heath Road, Great Heath Road, Gateley Road, Ryburgh Road
Prayers are offered for all in the community, but if there are any specific prayer requests, either for public or private prayer, please let the rector know. There is a 'prayer request' board available in the church also, and this is used by the rector when saying Morning Prayer. Prayers are offered during the course of a week, and there is a space to indicate thanks for a person's recovery.

CHURCHWARDENS. Prayers are offered for all of the Elmham Group churchwardens, recently 'sworn in' by the Archdeacon of Lynn.

ECUMENICAL GROUP. Having met in June to consider accounts of apparent genocide in the Old Testament we shall meet on Thursday, July 30th at 7.30pm to consider a new perspective on the texts and their interpretation.

"CHUCH HEWMER". [A warning for the Festival Weekend in August?]
A notice in a village hall kitchen read: "Ladies: when you have emptied the teapot please stand upside down in the sink." Under the notice had been added: "No hot bottoms on the formica."
