CHURCH NEWS - October 2015

Posted in Parish Matters

All interested parishioners are invited to the Conference on Saturday, October 31st at The Frost Hall, Foulsham, between 10am and 1pm (although it is unlikely that the full three hours will be required). The new proposed structure of Team Ministries will be considered. Anyone who wishes to see the 'background paper' may request a copy from the rector or any PCC member.

Those living on or near: Elmham Park, Park View Cottage and Holt Road including Lawes Court and Spencer's Close to the King's Head, Brisley Road and Dereham Road
Prayers are offered for all in the community, but if there are any specific prayer requests, either for public or private prayer, please let the rector know. There is a 'prayer request' board available in the church also, and this is used by the rector when saying Morning Prayer. Prayers are offered during the course of a week, and there is a space to indicate thanks for a person's recovery.

We shall meet again at Stibbard Methodist Centre at 7.30pm on Thursday, 15th October (tbc) to consider the Old Testament and New Testament meaning of "Peace" (tbc).

Where is the first recorded baseball game found in the Bible? In the big inning, Eve stole first, Adam stole second, Cain struck out Abel, and the Prodigal Son came home.
