SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS in 2016. There may well emerge a new pattern of monthly Sunday services after Easter 2016 and these will be outlined in the service schedule in ‘Elmham News’, ‘Church News’, and the benefice website in the usual way. For all baptism and wedding services initial enquiries should be made to Reverend Sally Kimmis (01362) 680148. The Rector will arrange and conduct funerals during January, February and March, 2016.

PRAYER FOCUS. Those living on or near: Heath Road, Great Heath Road, Gateley Road, Ryburgh Road.
Prayers are offered for all in the community, but if there are any specific prayer requests, either for public or private prayer, please let the rector know. There is a ‘prayer request’ board available in the church also, and this is used by the rector when saying Morning Prayer. Prayers are offered during the course of a week, and there is a space to indicate thanks for a person’s recovery.

ECUMENICAL GROUP. On Thursday, January 28th we shall meet to consider the Gospel of Luke (the focus of the Church this year). In February (date to be announced) we shall consider one or two of the Letters of Saint Paul. Details will be placed on the website – or contact the rector.

“CHUCH HEWMER”. A little girl, dressed in her Sunday best, was running as fast as she could, trying not to be late for Bible class. As she ran she prayed, "Dear Lord, please don't let me be late!" While she was running and praying, she tripped on a kerb and fell, getting her clothes dirty and tearing her dress. She got up, brushed herself off, and started running again. As she ran she once again began to pray, "Dear Lord, please don't let me be late…..but please don't shove me either!"
