SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS in 2016. There may well emerge a new pattern of monthly Sunday services after Easter 2016 and these will be outlined in the service schedule in ‘Elmham News’, ‘Church News’, and the benefice website. For all baptism and wedding services initial enquiries should be made to Reverend Sally Kimmis (01362) 680148. The rector will conduct funerals up to March 22nd, 2016.
PRAYER FOCUS. Those living on or near: Broom Green, Broom Green Drive, Broom Green/Holt Road, Yarrow Lane.
Prayers are offered for all in the community, but if there are any specific prayer requests, either for public or private prayer, please let the rector know. There is a ‘prayer request’ board available in the church also, and this is used by the rector when saying Morning Prayer. Prayers are offered during the course of a week, and there is a space to indicate thanks for a person’s recovery.
ECUMENICAL GROUP. During February (date to be announced) we shall consider one or two of the Letters of Saint Paul. Details will be placed on the website – or contact the rector.
EASTER VESTRY and ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING. The Vestry is an open meeting for all parishioners, and the APCM is open to those on the Church Electoral Roll. The meetings will be in Saint Mary at 7.30pm on March 16th, 2016.
“CHUCH HEWMER”. Three boys are at school boasting about their fathers. John said, “My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a poem, and they give him £1,000.” Timothy said, “That's nothing. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a song, and they give him £10,000.” The third boy, Digby, said, “My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a sermon. And it takes four people to collect all the money!”
