Early Warning – The Parish Council is due for election on Thursday 7 May with polling at the Pavilion – this is the same day for the General Election. We plan, as usual, to print a personal profile of each candidate who intends to serve on the Parish Council. Please take the time to consider whether you feel you could contribute to parish life by becoming a Councillor. We will print more details when we receive them from the Parish Clerk.
We intend to update the list of clubs and organisations in the village in the March edition of the News. Would you please let us have all details (name, address, phone and email of the person who can be contacted with regard to your club or organisation.). This list proves very useful, especially to new people to the village.
Finally, how sad we were that the Community Smallholding was targeted by unscrupulous thieves. Thank goodness it is rare for our village to suffer such a nasty occurrence. They have always supported the community in many ways, so it's our turn to support them. Please come along to events run by them, starting with the Pudding Night on February 21st.
Our sincere thanks for a generous donation go to The Saturday Morning Club.
